The good thing is they will give you a $30.00 free bingo trial when you sign up. This internet bingo is very convenient to play our favorite game. We can now having fun at home and at the same time earning some dollars. Hurry, and see you there!

Bohol honeymoon part II.

After visiting old churches, we went to experienced walking on the hanging bridge. Across the upper part of the Loboc River in Bohol is a hanging bamboo bridge that is a major tourist attraction. This bridge hangs approximately 20 meters above the Loboc River and sways back and forth as you walk across. This bridge over the Loboc river connects the village on the other side to the world and it's quite fun doing the walk. It was scary but my husband comforted me and makes me feel felt better. Bohol is one of the many places in the Philippines that have many beautiful spots to visit and for sure, you would enjoy every spots that you are planning to see.

We also went to see the Tarsier. Tarsiers are considered the smallest monkey in the world. Tarsiers are known as natural habitants in the town of Loboc located inland Bohol. We took pictures and had souvenirs where they can print the photos on a shirt.

Now we cannot wait to go back there again and have a good time. After all this hiking, we felt hungry and we experienced eating at their floating restaurant still located in Loboc where the tarsiers are. It was awesome. People out there try to visit there and you would love the place. After eating lunch, we went straight to one of the most beautiful tourist attraction in Bohol, The Chocolate hills. The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines. It is composed of around 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills of about the same size, spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name. The Chocolate Hills is a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. It is featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attraction in the province. It is in the Philippine Tourism Authority's list of tourist destinations in the Philippines; it has been declared the country's third National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO world’s heritage list.

What a beautiful creations by God. Therefore, people if you are planning to visit Philippines try to check this out; you will be amaze with all this scenery...

Honeymoon Part III

After Bohol, we went to Cebu and stayed at Tambuli beach resort. We had a great stay there and we were having so much fun. My husband had a great time too especially one of this dreams came true, to try to do parasailing and he did it, at Shangri-La Cebu. Tambuli beach is one of the tourist attractions in Cebu. It is a very nice resort especially to the honeymooners. The Tambuli Beach Club East Wing, Philippines is set in tropical greenery and coconut trees. Located on the beautiful beachfront of Mactan Island, connected to Cebu by a bridge. Shangri-La's Mactan Island Resort, Philippines' largest and most exclusive deluxe resort gives its guests the ultimate tropical paradise vacation experience. Located in Cebu, this idyllic resort with its beautiful private beach offers an exciting range of recreation activities and superb cuisine. Every guestroom blends tropical decor with modern amenities and private balconies provide panoramic views of the Visayan Sea and outlying islands, making it a perfect getaway for fun and relaxation.

We had a great time in Cebu as well. We went to visit the magellan’s cross at Sto. Nino church in Cebu. We lighted candles and attended masses. We also went to the guitar factory and would love to go back there to buy one for me. Cebu is a big City and lots of scenery that all tourists would enjoy. They also have those walking under water wearing the scuba diving suit and feed the fishes under water. It is a very nice place also to visit and lots of interesting historic monument and churches.

Magellan's Cross, on the Island of Cebu
Ferdinand Magellan was the first European to come to the Philippines in 1521. Also known as Fernao Magalhaes or Fernando Magallanes, he was a Portuguese navigator working for the King of Spain in search of the spice islands (now part of Indonesia, known as Maluku or Moluccas islands). When he and his crews landed on Cebu island, a native chief, Rajah Humabon, met and befriended him. Rajah Humabon, his wife and hundreds of his native warriors agreed to accept Christianity and were consequently baptized.
Magellan planted a cross to signify this important event about the propagation of the Roman Catholic faith in what is now Cebu, in central Philippines. The original cross is reputedly encased in another wooden cross for protection, as people started chipping it away in the belief that it had miraculous healing powers. This prompted the government officials to encase it in tindalo wood and secured it inside a small chapel called "kiosk." Some say, however, that the original cross was actually destroyed. The Magellan cross displayed here is said to be a replica of such cross. It is housed in a small chapel located in front of the present city hall of Cebu, along Magallanes Street (named in honor of Magellan).
Sadly, Magellan met his death under the hands of another Visayan chief, Lapu-Lapu, when he went to the nearby island of Mactan. Mactan is also part of today's Metropolitan Cebu. There, both the statues of Magellan and Lapu-Lapu proudly stand to commemorate the tragic meeting of east and west in this part of the world.
It took another 45 years (1565) before Cebu was visited again by another European. Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, under orders from King Philip of Spain, came and made Cebu the first capital of the Spanish colony known as Las Islas Filipinas.

Our honeymoon days Part I

A day after our wedding back in 2003, we went directly to Bohol Island, Philippines where we spent our honeymoon. On our first night of staying there, my husband surprised me by "Harana" ( group of people sang for us with our favorite love songs using a guitar) while we were eating our dinner and I was really shock and surprised, I felt that time how lucky I was to have him and of course until now, I am the luckiest person on earth to have such a loving husband. On the right side, is the picture of Panglao island resort where we stayed for 5 days and it costs us at least $150.00 a night. It is quite expensive but it was worthy because we were celebrating the happiest moment of being together. I love the resort and the white sands, and they also have a man made island where you can enjoy.

The next picture on the right is also one of the reason why we went to Bohol, to visit old churches since my husband is very fascinated with any historic building specially churches. This is the Baclayon Church of Bohol.

Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon
The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon is considered to be one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. It is one of the best preserved Jesuit build churches in the region, although in the 19th century, the Augustinian Recollects added a modern facade and a number of stone buildings that now surround the church. The first Spanish missionaries or doctrines in the region, Fr. Juan de Torres and Fr. Gabriel Sanchez, first settled in Baclayon in 1595. Shortly after their arrival, a visit was erected on the spot.
Although Baclayon was the first seat of the Spanish Jesuit missionaries, fear of Moro marauders soon forced them to move their headquarters more inland, to Loboc. Only in 1717, Baclayon became a parish, and construction of a new church commenced. Some 200 native forced laborers constructed the church from coral stones, which they took from the sea, cut into square blocks, and piled on to each other. They used bamboo to move and lift the stones in position, and used the white of a million eggs as to cement them together. The current building was completed in 1727. The church obtained a large bell in 1835. In the Baclayon church is a dungeon, which was used to punish natives who violated the rules of the Roman Catholic church.

On our trip back to the Philippines this May, we will still be going back to Bohol to visit again this old church and other beautiful places. In this Church where Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz got married a famous actor and actress in the Philippines and in my dreams, how I wish we could be having our wedding again here too.

Shop.com

In this coming weeks, I will be attending a lot of parties and of course I need to shop for gifts or presents to give away and since the economy now is very down, we need to save money and be practical to buy gifts. I've been searching for so many store online and looking for sale item and thankfully I found this website that sales very affordable items. They have everything you need like, for your kids & baby needs, beauty supply, for home, electronics and all department that you want to check out. They have a lot of clearance items that you'll need specially in this very bad economy but all are great products.
It is very rare that you can find a site like this http://www.shop.com/ where they put the rights for the costumer first to get great product with a very affordable prices. I can now save more money and can spend more time with my family because I don't need to go out to find sale items, I just have to stay home and make an order online. I know it is very hard to drive around to look for a great gifts with a great prices.
Now, it makes me so easy to shop for my family also back in the Philippines since we will be going there soon and I can get a lot of presents for them that I don't need to spend a lot of money by the help of this site that I newly discovered. Instead I will put our extra money as our savings for the future of our kids. Don't wait too long, open this site and you'll be amaze with their products and their prices.

True friend

A true friend is not selfish, willing to share their knowledge to their fellow friends. A great friend never condemn you nor criticize you instead they are the one who always stood by you and guide you into the right direction. They are the one who always give you positive outlook in life when you think everything is so impossible for you to do. I am so glad that I have found a friend name Cecil. She is so great and every time I ask her a favor, she's always there for me and willing to help me especially about blogging. I didn't know anything about this until Cecil taught me on how to do it. Now I've learned something and have a little progress by the help of Cecil. I know a little bit about postings now especially from advertisers and this advertisers will pay you by doing it and without hesitance, Cecil help me out on how to do it.
Some people are very limited to give you information specially about earning money because they don't want you to be one of them,( that is not a real friend). Some are so selfish and don't even want other people know what they knew.
Now I am so happy that the knowledge and information that Cecil share to me, I share it also to some of my friends who needs me and I am willing to help them as well because I will be more happier when all my friends will also do what we enjoy of doing.

WOw...

I can't believe that it happened again at our store that somebody stole a bunch of shampoo. As soon as arrived to work yesterday, a co- worker of mine told me that somebody stole some shampoo worth $300.00 and nobody caught the thieves, a man and a woman. When we saw the video on how they did it, they put all the stole shampoo on their pants, don't know how that fit but that's what they did. Thieves felt so convenient to steal stuff from where I work, maybe because our store is a convenient store, hehehe but they didn't know that we already submit their sketch to the NBI and soon they'll be caught, we hope. That was an expensive shampoo like $10 to $15 each so we were thinking that the thieves would probably sale those shampoo in saloons because those were the kind of shampoo they use in a saloons.
That happened twice already and hopefully no more third times. I don't know why some people need to steal to make a living, why they won't work for it.

Friends..

In our lives, we encountered and met friends. Some are worthy to call friends and some are just nobody to you. I experienced having a close friend who betrayed on me just because of her greediness and jealousy. It is very sad to let her go since she is just like a sister to me. We were friends since we were teenage until we both got married we were still friends and live the same states where thousands miles away from we came from, until time comes that I found out that she talk lies about me to all our other friends and this other friends told me everything for me to be aware.

One day she called in the middle of the night to fetch her from where she lives because her husband kicked her out of their house after their fight. Since I was just such a concerned friend to her so I picked her up and let her stayed at our place for a week. But we were only having 1 bedroom that time so my husband just suffered himself to slept in couch just to have this friend a comfortable stayed with us. I got her on what she needed especially for her personal needs because her husband took her cell phone, all her cards and money before telling her to get out from their house. We treated her like a family because for me we are family but I did not know that she did all this negative gossips about me before this incident happened. Some our friends wondered why after all what she have done to me, she still have the guts to asked a favor from us. So our friends asked me why I let her stayed with us, I was wondering why not, that is because I didn't know anything what she did, I was shocked when I found out. I cannot believe she did to me such a lie gossips and she did not admit it anymore when I confronted her.

Therefore, now I am very careful in choosing friend, I do not trust them right away and it takes time for me to call them as my friend. After those incidents, it makes me nervous to trust people again. However, when I met all this new friends from Friendster, I gain my confidence back and I know that they are the people that are worthy to be called friends. To Cristina, Cecil, Zim, Beth, Sheryl, Sha, Charyn, Marie, Katrina, Michelle, and those I forgot to mentioned, Thank you so much for being my friends.. You help me bringing back the trust and fun of having friends.

Need info. for hotel reservation?

Our family are planing to go back to the Philippines this May and it is very exciting because it's been 5 years that we didn't see our family back home. But I am sad because my passport needs to renew first since my passport expired 6 months ago. The Philippine consulate policy now was being changed started last June of 2008. Before, we can just mail it to them but now we need to apply it in person. It is too much hassle for us specially we really don't have much time to do all this stuff and the worst thing is I am from Texas and I need to travel all the way to Los Angeles California to renew it and now we need to buy a ticket and find a hotel close to the embassy where we going.

Me and my husband can't really have a chance to search for a cheapest ticket and comparing prices for a hotel reservation since we are both working full time and when we get home we also have kids to taking care of. It is very hard to search from one site to another trying to compare prices until one day I discover this amazing website where there are multiple lists for hotel reservations and they also have free service price comparison. This site saves us a lot of time searching hotels where we want to stay. I am so glad that there is a website like this, it is one of a kind and it is very convenient to search, because you will just simply type in the state or country you want to visit, check in and out date then in few second the result will come out. This website is very good for us specially we only have very limited time to search online. If you are planing also for a vacation and searching for hotels and make advance reservation just visit their site at http://www.hotelscombined.com/.
Our family back in the Philippines now are very excited to see us again. I know it needs enough money to visit them but at least having cheapest hotel to stay will help us and make our vacation a successful one. I know we will be having lots of fun and visit different beautiful spots in the Philippines, that means we will be going from City to another. Three more months and we'll be there.

Plane Ticket..

I was so happy yesterday when my husband started looking for prices of a plane ticket to Philippines, which means, we are getting there. It has been almost 5 years that I did not see my family and friends and I am very excited, not go home but to spend time with my family there especially now we have two beautiful daughters. Times goes very quick and I can't even imagine that I've been here in US for almost 5 years. The closer the time you've been waiting for to come is also the slower the day passes by. It has been always like that, that's why I am trying not to think about the vacation we are planning and just think that one morning when we wake up, it will be a day to go to the airport to leave US and be back to our home sweet home. hehehe. A lot of people told me that I am very lucky that I am now in America but for me they are even luckier that they are in the Philippines. For lifestyle and the kind of living we have here, I can say that we are lucky for some of the people in the Philippines but they are very lucky also that they are so close to their families. Though some people are struggling back there but they are still lucky enough that they don't feel the emptiness that most Filipino people feel here in US, it means you feel empty everyday because you miss your love ones back there and also they don't know how tired it is to live in America. You have to really work hard to support your needs and though you are working, your check is also just enough to pay bills. I even told my husband that if it's okay with him I'd rather go back to Philippines and live there with our kids but thinking about kids future that makes me wanted to just stay here in the US because there is no future in the Philippines. A lot of educated people that I've known leave Philippines to work abroad as a domestic helper. How sad it is to think about our own country can't give us a job, people needs to go abroad to make a living. So my family and friends back there in the Philippines, 4 months more to go that we'll see each other once again.

Smart girl Ally..

It is pretty amazing how smart the kids are in this generation now a days. They easily catch up what an adult person does and follow what the adult doing. I have 26 months and 6 months old daugthers and my eldest daugther surprises me everyday with new stuff she does. Yesterday morning she saw me feeding her little sister with cereal then I have to put bib on her before feeding her to avoid mess in her clothes. My eldest daugther saw me and told me, "mama what are you doing? so I said I am feeding your sister then she asked what is this upon pointing the bib on her sister's neck so I said, that is bib to avoid mess on you sister's clothes then she said okay. So I thought that was it, at night while I was so busy doing the household chores I noticed that my husband was laying down in the couch with bib on his neck so I asked my husband who did that, he said it was Ally and I said oh yeah, and I've seen Ally feeding her daddy with pizza. So I asked her, what do you do Ally? she said, feeding daddy and I asked her again what did you put on his neck, she said bib because pizza too messy. I was laughing and told my self wow, how smart she is for doing that and I thought she forgot already all about it but no, she just put it on her head. Me and my husband were laughing and can't believe how are all this little ones adopt easily what the adult people doing. Now me and my husband are so careful in everything we said and done because I believe that HOME is the first school of young children and parents are their first teacher. What they've seen is what they've do. So parenst please show all good things ans be a good model to you kids. Most of the kid's behavior shows how the parents treated them and discipline them.

Passport renewal

Does anybody know about renewing Philippine passport here in Houston? My Philippine passport expired a year ago and now I have to renew it because we will be going back to the Philippines for vacation this May. Somebody told me that they renewed their passport just here in Houston and she gave us a number to call. I called her and the lady told her that a Philippine consulate will come to Houston and that I don't nee to go California to renew it. I hope so because the way of renewing a passport is a very hassle for us specially we live too far from California. Besides from the plane ticket is very expensive we also have kids that being left behind when we go there. I like the system they used to have that you can just mail it to them and send them a check and photos then you'll be done. It was very convenient that way but now it change to the new system which I really didn't agree with this. Is anybody know about this issue? Are you one of the Filipino's here in Houston planning to renew your passport too? Let me know maybe we can set a date to fly together to California or hopefully we can do it just here in Houston.

Blogging

It's my day off again but I am not expecting to get some rest today not because of my two kids but because I can't stay home I don't know why? If I find free time for my self I always spend it going out because I can't sacrifice my self to just stay home. My husband keep telling me just stay home sometimes to get some rest but it's hard for me to do. But I keep trying to save money because every time I go out I always spend money and I know it is very hard to earn money, don't you think? you really have to work hard for it but now I find an easy way to earn money, just do blogging then sign up on the advertiser's website, submit your blog then if you get approve, you can get some dollars at the same time you make your minds busy of thinking what to write. hehehe. Isn't that easy? Now I am happy that we encourage some of our friends to do it, Isn't that fun that everybody is here blogging? So guys keep it up and we'll discuss our thoughts and experiences here in the blogging world. hehehe

Theft..

I was wondering why our store manager scanning the video we had from the store and took a close up shot from one of the costumer where I work today. I ask them why they focused those male shot and I found out that those guy in camera was stealing some of our products. It was a shampoo but not just a regular shampoo, it is an expensive one and it cost $10.00 each shampoo and he stole like 30 pcs. of those. As shown on the video he put all the shampoos in his jeans, we don't know how it fit the 30 shampoos in his jean but that was what being shown on the camera. Now we recognize him and our store manager send a copy from the video to all other store for them to be aware.

Our night at Fogo de Chao

Ou friend Katrina celebrating her 23rd birthday dinner at Fogo de chao restaurat last night a place where only rich people can afford to celebrate thier parties in there. All our friends had so much fun, and the food was fantastic, it was great and the good thing about thier restaurant is you don't need to get up to get food, the waiters and waitresses will come up to you and serve you the steak or any meat that you want. It was my first time to ate there and probably the last time also because I couldn't afford to eat there, good thing that Katrina and Vu letting us to taste some expensive restaurantaround houston. It cost you $50.00 per person excluding the drink so that is a little bit high for me. I am just trying to save my money specially that we are planning to go visit Philippines this May. Katrina and Vu are very nice couple and very fun to be with, we knew that Vu was hurt from some of our jokes but he still managed to laugh and joke us back. We all know that filipina's night won't be complete without taking pictures, hehehe so we took pictures in every corner that we saw and even at the restroom. American people just watched us and as I thought maybe they said that they must be Filipinos while watching us taking pictures. hahaha. So, thanks to Katrina and Vu for having us on your birthday celebration.

AT&T service problem

We were very disappointed from AT&T's service technician because they supposed to come to the house yesterday to fix our Internet connection since it's been 1 week already we didn't have good service for Internet connection from them so they promised us that they will come Thursday between 8-12 pm but instead they showed up Wednesday at 2 pm and left a note saying "Sorry we miss you". We were not home that time because we were not expecting that they'll show up and we also had to go to work. So yesterday morning I called AT&T costumer service to tell them what they did and letting them know how frustrated we are from their service. Now they give us another schedule and that will be on Tuesday Jan.20 and hopefully they will show that day or else we're gonna have to cancel our contract from them. It is very frustrating when you don't have Internet at home and I know most of us feel the same way. To all my friends, I am not gonna be around for a little while online but for sure next week I'll be back. Have a great day.

Looking for new kitchen tools and equipment?

When I'm home and have free time I will stay just in our kitchen to create new dish. I love cooking and that makes me feel good when I cooked something good that my family and friends loves it. But I need to have some new cooking tools and equipment to make my cooking more easy. My husband told me to find some tools that I need but since I am a full time mom and at the same time works full time job so I really don't have time to go every stores and find the tools that I needed.
So I was trying to surf on the web and find the tools that I need then luckily I found this website the website that sales all the kitchen tools and equipment that we need for cooking and they also have from small to large appliances for the kitchen that we need everyday with very affordable and reasonable price. It is very easy buying if you don't have time to go to the store because you'll just stay home and open your computer and click the website and order any tools that you need.

So now my husband is happy that I find it very convenient to shop specially for the stuff that I need for my cooking because my family always wants to eat fresh dinner and I will be now more creative on my cooking.

Our last weekend event

Sunday morning we went to the hospital to visit a close friend who has been confined at Memorial Herman Hospital. We brought some stuff he needs for his rehabilitation and therapy. Ally and Dimple was with us so we didn't stay long and we also had to leave early because we had a dinner invitation from a friend at Taste of Texas. So we went there and met new friends. It was quite uncomfortable because our kids were with us and only us brought kids but we were happy that everybody understand the situations with kids. So we didn't really stay long at the restaurant because my husband also wanted to go back home and watch football game that steelers played since we are a number one steelers fan but we enjoyed their company and the food of course. I ordered the prime rib 10 oz. size and it was the best prime rib I ever tasted and it was our first time eating at Taste of Texas because aside from a little bit farther from us, it is very expensive to eat there. We are just lucky to have rich friends that can let us taste expensive food from expensive restaurant. hehehe. My husband just love Olive garden every time when we go eat outside. Olive garden also is a very good restaurant and have delicious food specially for Italian people like my husband with a very affordable price. So check that out!!!

Just another day..

I have a day off today but spent the whole day strolling around with kids and friend Cecil. We went to our co- worker's house for lunch then went to shopping again. I promised my self not to spend money if I don't really need it but temptation is always just around you. I know I shouldn't have to spend money but I know I spent it wisely. What a big changes for my self but when we got home my husband kept telling me, where is now the saving money you have said, why is it now you bought a lot of stuff again, nothing i can say but " I know". hehehe. I know I can save money just have to stay away from SALE... hehehe God bless everybody.

Saving money

I don't know why but every time I am away from our kids, it makes me feel sad especially when the times that I have to drop them off at their baby sitters house. It seems that I don't want to go to work anymore and just spend more times with my kids. I love them so much and even if it's hard to leave them to go to work, I still have to do it because we can't live a nice lives in America if we don't work for it, though my husband has a good job but still have to help him for our shopping time with kids so that he won't give us anymore money for it. In the past 3 years of working, I never had savings, I just had to go shopping all the time for my kids clothes and toys, now I realize that I have to save my money specially they are growing and they need that savings more when they get bigger. I am trying not to spend as much as I did in the past years. It is not easy to earn money so I have to spend it wisely. Last January 1st my friend Cristina wanted me to go with them to go shopping at Dillard's from their year end sale but I really need to be serious now with my spending habit, I told them that I can't go with them because I didn't want to start the year of spending money or else I will not be having savings again. I learn now from my past experiences so now I have to stay home more often than going out and spending.

Proud of being Filipina..

Last Friday, as soon as I came inn to work, one costumer came up to me and asked me if I am from the Philippines, and then I said a big "YES" then she gave a big smile and shake my hands telling me " I saw Oprah today and they had a guest a teenage girl from the Philippines and her name was Charice, she has a great voice and she was amazed. After hearing it I felt so happy and so proud of my self being a Filipino and because of Charice Philippines is well known now to almost all American people and they realize how talented Filipino people are. So when I came back home that night, I right away open my computer and go on you tube to watch the scene from Oprah this day and I found out that it was a replay when Charice was guested at Oprah until she met CelineDion then sang with her at Madison Square garden. It feels so good and so happy as a Filipino and hopefully every Filipino will also feel the same.

Hospital visit

Yesterday, me and my husband dropped off our kids at Cheryl because we went to Memorial Herman hospital to visit a friend who has been confined there. At first I talked to our friend on the phone, he sound very okay and seems like nothing was wrong with him but when we got to the hospital and saw him in his room using walker, it makes me cry, I can't believe what I saw. He can't barely walk and he needs somebody to hold him so that he won't be fall when he stand up. It was really a sad day for us, he and his wife are our friends since when we were in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I was shocked for what I've witness and while watching him with his situation, I suddenly hugged my husband and told him that I really appreciate him now more than ever. I feel pity for his wife and son. Now, I decided to go back to school to get a degree here in US for our future, well never know.

Welcome 2009!

It's the the first day of the year, a first day of the month, and a first day for a new beginning. I know a lot of us wanted some changes of their lives in this year, like me. My new year's resolution is to stay much of my off days at home with kids and save money instead of going out all the time spending money. I learn now from my experienced last year 2008 that I've been wasted money and time for my family. Now I started my new year to just stay home whole day since I am off from work and got some rest because we had a new years eve dinner at our house last night and we had so much fun lighting the fireworks. It was the best new years eve for me since I've been here in the states because my family and friends were there celebrating it with us. I will wish a merrier and bountiful new year to everybody, May all your wishes come true. God bless
